The 2nd Chapter sees our protagonist, Kha-lel beginning to overcome his own defeatist mindset in a journey of increasing "SELF CONTROL". Here, he rises from rock bottom trying to be more responsible, though he's still completely confused about where to start. This audio-storybook album semi-autobiographically describes the struggles creative people have gone through, on the way to living their True Purpose. Can you relate?
This is Self Suffice's 1st solo album since recording the critically acclaimed "Manhattan Night" CD with Dreamville's Mez. Also available at
What's this, who's that?
Too easy to lose track of what to do,
could use some help where you at?
I'm just confused cause
too much to do, plus
Too easy to lose track of what to do,
could use some help where you at?
What's this, who's that?

Just adjust yourself,
cause it's all in the mind?
I don't have a dad
that you call up when you're cryin'
Got ten fingers to point
the blame for the crimes,
but just like these fingers,
all of 'em mine,
so I find quotes in books
and blogs online.
Remind me everything shines
in it's own time,
but I'm in the East
with a West Coast state of mind,
meanin' late to the right place
at the wrong time.
Make the right thing
seem wrong all of the time,
like a conscious MC
spittin' a bling rhyme.
In the meantime,
needin' my goals to align.
Eyesight fine,
but you could've swore
I was blind.
Tryin' to figure out a path
to where I'm trying
to be on the map,
even though I don't
see where I'm at.
Tryin' to figure out the road
to where I'm trying
to go on the map,
even though I don't
know where I'm at.
I'm just confused
too much to do.
